Evelyne Alfonsi announces decision to step down as Interim ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥Director General

ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ Interim Director General Evelyne Alfonsi announced today that she is stepping down from the position. She informed the Chair and Council of Commissioners of her decision and will resume her duties as Assistant Director General, Education.
“Due to reasons of a professional nature, I believe I am no longer the ideal person to continue in the role of Interim Director General,” said Ms. Alfonsi. “In these unprecedented times, I am extremely proud of the work accomplished these past three months and in the best interest of the Board, I look forward to continuing in my role as Assistant Director General, Education.”
Stated ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥Chair Joe Ortona: “On behalf of the Council of Commissioners, I wish to sincerely thank Evelyne for her work of the last three months and look forward to continue working with her as Assistant Director General, Education.”
The Council of Commissioners will announce the nomination of a new Interim Director General very shortly.
